2012
OCTOBER
- Received freshwater lobster/crayfish (lobs) fries from a friend in Australia


2013
JANUARY
- Begin R&D on how best to farm lobs within the house compound
- Bought an aquaponic set from Malaysian aquaponic guru, Encik Affnan

FEBRUARY
- Started FARM LOBSTERS AT HOME (FLAH) project using the aquaponic set


- Started FLAH because I want to give chemical-free food to my family, not for business
- Lobs started to breed new fries
- Supply lobs, fish & vegetables for my family without using a single drop of chemical.
MARCH
- A neighbourhood friend, Encik Iskandar saw the project & gave AIM's GIGIH contest form

- AIM or Agensi Inovasi Malaysia is a department under the Malaysian Prime Minister Office

- Submitted the contest form to AIM without any intentions of winning
- Created this blog in English & Bahasa Melayu versions
APRIL
- The 1st generation lobs grew larger & I started to have 2nd generation of fries, Made in Malaysia!
- Decided to test the domestic market by selling a few lobs online
- Overwhelming response received from the local market
- It shows that people like to eat lobs, even if they are not cheap!
MAY
- My project was selected to be amongst the top 100 out of 3000 entries received by AIM
- Started to teach people how to farm lobs at home using aquaponics method
- Also received overwhelming response especially in Klang Valley
- It shows that people want to breed lobs as a food source or as pets 
JUNE
- My project was selected to be amongst the top 50 out of 3000 entries received by AIM
- Started with Lobs Joint Venture (JV) Project
- Received an unexpected response for the Lobs JV Project from people all over Malaysia
- It shows that people want to have lobs even if they do not have the capacity to do it themselves 
 JULY
- Received a cheque of RM10,000 for being the best entry under GIGIH Project on the 23rd


AUGUST
- Hari Raya Aidil Fitri
- Shipped lobs to Sabah by air
SEPTEMBER
- Created CLAW (Cabinet Lobsters At Work) System
- Conducted a short course for 'soon-to-be' DBKL pensioners
- Received visitation from course participants (whole bus load) to FLAH site  
- Invited by SU Rembia to do a showcase at Japerun Rembia, Alor Gajah, Melaka
- Invited by Politeknik Melaka to do a showcase at Dataran MBMB, Air Keroh, Melaka
- Received visitation from representatives of Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation
   (MOSTI) and Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM) under 'Jejak Inovasi' Program on the 21st
OCTOBER
- AIM organized 'GIGIH Protege Program' which requires winners of GIGIH award (as mentors) to
  find & help proteges to replicate and make money out of the winners' projects
- Got published in state owned newspaper, Melaka Hari Ini on the 7th
- Organized 'Course On How To Farm Lobsters At Home 1.0' on the 25th & 26th
NOVEMBER
- Conducted 2nd short course for 'soon-to-be' DBKL pensioners
- Received 2nd visitation from course participants (whole bus load) to FLAH site  
- Wife gave birth to a baby boy, our 7th child on 13th
- Got published in local newspaper, Kosmo on the 22nd
- Organized 'Course On How To Farm Lobsters At Home 2.0' on the 24th
DECEMBER
- Started 'Course on Demand' program where people can come over to FLAH & learn about how
   to farm lobsters at home, by appointment only.
- Appeared on morning show tv program, Malaysia Hari Ini (TV3) on the 19th
- Received visitation from lobster enthusiasts from all over the country, almost daily
- Received visitation from students & lecturers of Politeknik Metro Johor, Johor on 30th


 - 'GIGIH Protege Program' ends on the 31st

2014
JANUARY/FEBRUARY
- Received visitation from YB Datuk Hajah Norpipah Abdol, a member of the Melaka Legislative
  Assembly on the 3rd
- AIM informed that a total of 145 proteges have been listed.
- Organized 'Course On How To Farm Lobsters At Home 3.0' on the 18th
- Conducted 1st meeting for a new non-government organization (NGO).

MARCH
- Registered Persatuan Akuakultur Malaysia (PAM)


APRIL
- Designed & created CLAW 2.0

MAY
- CLAW 2.0 won GOLD AWARD in the International Innovation Festival organized by UTEM

JUNE
- Exported CLAW 2.0 to USA, Canada, India & Puerto Rico
- Surprise visit by Deputy Minister MOSTI, Datuk Prof Dr Abu Bakar

 


JULY
- Article on crayfish breeding published by The SUN

AUGUST/SEPTEMBER
- Training & consulting for those who are interested in farming lobsters at home
- Receive visitation from CEO BioTechCorp, Datuk Nazlee


OCTOBER
- Organized course on 11th & 25th for those who are interested in farming lobsters at home
- Visit from Sibu, Sarawak on Friday, 17th Oct.
   13 reps from Sarawak Dayak National Union (SDNU) lead by Sarawak CM's Political Sec.


NOVEMBER
- Took part in MAHA 2014



DECEMBER
- Visit from Pusat Tahfiz Lil Aytam from Sungai Buloh, Selangor on 24th.




2015
January
- Visit from Dr Hj Mohd Azlan, GM of RTC JOHOR
